Construction of Cyclone Shelters in Kerala and Lakshadweep

Prime Minister has accorded approval for construction of six cyclone shelters at an estimated cost of Rs. 8.23 crore - two in Kozhikode, one in Kannur districts of Kerala and three in Lakshadweep through the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). An amount of Rs. 120 lakh has been released for one cyclone shelter in Kerala.
